Raven’s Friday Finds

Friday Finds is a meme hosted by Books and a Beat. It was created to showcase all the books we’ve added to our TBR piles in the past week.

FridayFinds

This Friday I would like you all to know about the books I added to my TBR (Most of them are because of amazing book bloggers). Next Friday you’ll get to know about what Beez added to her TBR.

#1 Paper Princess by Erin Watt, Elle Kennedy and Jen Frederick

Raven: I read a review recently that compared this book to Hana Yori Dango (A japanese manga and T.V. show) and since I absolutely LOVED Hana Yori Dango I decided to add this book. Read Hitormissbooks review on it.

#2 The Wolf in the Attic by Paul Kearney

Raven: I absolutely loved how vague yet intriguing the description of this book was. Read Bookhaunt’s superb review on it.

#3 Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire

Raven: The description is fabulous and it was said to be better than Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar children and since I love creepy books I had to add this to my tbr. It was Hitormissbooks review that really sealed the deal for me.

#4 Mr. Fahrenheit by T. Michael Martin

Raven: This book was promoted by Rhett and Link on their channel, Good Mythical More and I couldn’t say no to them. Also, the plot and cover are interesting.

#5 The Return Man by V. M. Zito

Raven: This sounds like an amazing Zombie book and I NEVER say no to zombie books that sound like they could be great. Also, Thetattoedbookgeek’s review convinced me.

#6 The Vagrant by Peter Newman

Raven: This BOOK! It has a mute character and a GOAT! Read Thetattooedbookgeek’s amazing review on it.

#7 The Ugly Stepsister by Aya Ling

Raven: JourneyofAngie’s Friday first lines mentioned this book and on reading the description I realized that I needed to know more. Also read her amazing review here.

#8 Henge by Realm Lovejoy

Raven: I added this book as soon as I read the word Camelot. I’ve been watching Merlin and I’m in love with it! (Just finished season 2) So naturally I would jump at the opportunity to read a different take on Arthur Pendragon and his Camelot.

#9 The Stranger by Albert Camus

Raven: This book was recommended to me by an amazing book blogger. Read Hitormissbooks enticing review by clicking on her blog name!

#10 A Dance with Dragons by George R. R. Martin

Raven: I added this book because I FINALLY NEED to read this book by the end of this year. And hopefully we will get news of the next book in the series by then *fingers crossed*

So those are the books I added to my TBR this week. As I type this a part of my brain is screaming at me to go take a shower cause I actually went jogging EARLY in the morning with my sister, Beez and her sister, while another part of my brain is screaming at me to make preparations because I’m going for a BBQ/Sweet potato roasting/Marshmallow burning (don’t deny that the burnt ones taste amazing)/Corn roasting… I hope I have fun.

Lots of love,

Raven

  1. Great choices! I reeeeally want to read Every Heart a Doorway, it looks so good!! I’m trying to resist buying books at the moment, but I think I may have to make an exception for this one 🙂 Look forward to seeing what you think of it!
