Hello my book fellas! It’s our one year anniversary today!
*screams with joy and flips around like a dolphin*
I can’t believe it’s been a year since we started talking about books and stuff. A year since we met all of you guys here on this beautiful bloggy world, life in plastic, it’s fantastic… what…*
*When I wrote bloggy world the barbie song interrupted my beautiful mind palace and I ended up writing that and let it stay in the final edit cause meh
Right, let’s get back on the wagon.
Technically we’ve been blogging for more than two years (on and off… mostly off) but it never felt as amazing as how everyone said it would be. We never got any likes OR comments OR followers trying to do book stuff with us. It felt super lonely.
And THEN we found out that we weren’t doing it right.
We were on the wrong platform. We did zero shit to make people see us. We thought people would just come to us like humans to a firefly’s butt. But clearly blogging isn’t anyone’s butt. (It’s sad, I know)
So basically it’s been a year since we started blogging stuff on WordPress and it’s been a joy ride through and through. Sure, sometimes it felt like it was starting to get lonely again but then we’d find our glorious porpoise and life would be a-okay again.
On a final note, we’d like to thank everyone who made us smile or made us feel like what we were doing was worth something in feels (Or gold… or MY PRECIOUS!!)
Special thanks to:
Yourdaughtersbookshelf – For being so supportive of everything we do. You always like and comment on our posts and it makes our day every time. I just want you to know that we appreciate your love and support from the deep ocean that is our heart.**
**Excuse the fish poop, it sort of comes with the deal unfortunately.
Simplyabookdrunkardblog – For being the sweetest friend anyone can ask for. Our shared love of science fiction, fantasy and Brandon Sanderson has made our bloggy friendship super strong.
Journeyofangie – Another super supportive and friendly person that we are so glad we met through this amazing platform. Thank you for everything!
And finally a huge thanks to Readdiversebooks – For making us realize how important diversity in books is. Thank you so much and keep doing what you’re doing because it is really making a difference.
Lots of love and waffles,
Raven & Beez
