The princess saves herself in this one – Amanda Lovelace

Since this lovely book was in verse (poetry), I decided to bite it and have the review in verse too. Judge all you like.

Pick this up
if
1. You are a girl
2. You are broken
3. You are in need
of some friction to light that spark in you.

Step
into the world
Of
believing  fighting  standing

With you
As your weapon.

Read
in the quiet
of the night
With the fan as the drum of company
or maybe the ac.

Watch out
for these words
will trap you in a dance
Set you
Flying.

May-be
be whisked away,
By the magic
of the people
of the words

And maybe
Of
you
too.

This is for
You
For me
And,
For us all.

Love,
ME.

P. S. I am not
Good
At verse
But I love it.

(Also, yes, I get verse is just a lazy way of trying to make words appear artsy and all that, but I dig it, so.)

  3. I love this review! I love verse but am way too afraid to try it. High fives and hugs for trying it out. This book was so good – emotional, heartbreaking and oh so true. ❤
